Data deletion instructions

You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time. This page explains how.

If you wrote to us through the website

Email hello@bookmed.org with the subject "Data deletion". Include the name and email address you used, so that we can find your messages. We delete them and reply with a confirmation.

If a clinic contacted you through Facebook, Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp

The clinic is responsible for the messages and records it keeps about you. Ask the clinic first, or email hello@bookmed.org and we will pass your request to the clinic that holds the data. Please include:

• your name as it appears in the conversation,
• the phone number or the Facebook or Instagram username you used, and
• the name of the clinic, if you know it.

You can also remove the connection yourself from your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy > Settings > Apps and websites). Removing it stops new data from being sent to the clinic. It does not delete the data already stored, so please also send a request as described above.

What happens next

• We confirm your request by email within 30 days.
• We delete the personal data we hold for you, except data we must keep by law, such as records of a deletion request.
• Backups are overwritten within 35 days.
